Thales Academy Apex is 9-1 against Friendship Christian since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Titans will take on the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. Thales Academy Apex will be strutting in after a win while Friendship Christian will be coming in after a defeat.
Thales Academy Apex made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Thales Academy Rolesville, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Titans were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Knights on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Rylan Sheldon made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Thales Academy Apex's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tanner Murphy, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Cameron Kneale also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Thales Academy Apex was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thales Academy Rolesville only posted a batting average of .250.
Meanwhile, Friendship Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch back in March as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Thales Academy Rolesville, falling 15-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Falcons couldn't push the score so high this time.
Thales Academy Apex has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11 runs. As for Friendship Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Thales Academy Apex hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .410. However, it's not like Friendship Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .700. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Thales Academy Apex's way against Friendship Christian when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Thales Academy Apex made off with a 15-5 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
