 Pat Garcia and  Trip Payn did most of the damage at the plate:  Garcia  scored four  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances, while  Payn  scored four  runs while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances. They took  a  10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Owls. The Panthers' loss continues a  trend for the  squad, making it five in a row.
 Pecos' defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Tucumcari, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
