Douglass can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 71-40 victory over Friendly. Given Douglass' advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Friendly is ranked 225th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Douglass' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emmanuel Carson, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was makhye mcknight, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Crossland suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were beaten by Potomac 68-27. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Crossland in their matchups with Potomac: they've now lost eight in a row.
Douglass' victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Crossland, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.
