The Jemison Panthers lost against the Chilton County Tigers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Jemison suffered a rough 63-43 loss at the hands of Chilton County. Jemison has not had much luck with Chilton County recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Justin Godwin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Chilton County, scoring 16 points along with nine rebounds and six steals. Godwin continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Dale, who scored eight points along with seven steals and five assists.
Jemison's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Chilton County, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jemison will take on Oak Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Grove is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. Chilton County and Calera will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Calera is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
