Softball Recap: Lincoln Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Lincoln won the last time they faced Elkins and things went their way on Monday too. The Lincoln Wolves put the hurt on the Elkins Elks with a sharp 10-1 victory. Considering the Wolves have won four matches by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Lincoln pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Elkins, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will take on Pea Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elkins, they will face off against Green Forest at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Green Forest is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
