Edgar dropped their record down to 10-4 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Stratford Tigers by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Stratford, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games.

For Stratford's part, their win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Riley Spindler, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Jaegar Ormond also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

While Edgar had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
