Memorial scaled the state rankings by moving to 445 from 479 this week, the biggest jump in Western Buckeye. The Roughriders were able to move up by losing to Celina 49-23.
Kenton added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Ottawa-Glandorf, 34-10. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Kenton's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Grant Sherman threw for 481 and 5 touchdowns and Justin Sawmiller had 188 yards receiving. On the ground Sherman chipped in 21 yards. Colyn Blackford helped Kenton's passing attack out by catching 15 balls for 143 yards.
He was 41-54 with 2 interceptions.
Sawmiller was the best wideout in the league this week as Mike Mauk's team beat the Titans. Sawmiller tallied 13 receptions for 188 yards. Blackford helped Kenton's passing attack out by catching 15 balls for 143 yards.
Kenton's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Sherman has thrown for 2,204 yards and 25 touchdowns this season, while Sawmiller has 63 catches for 1,060 yards.
An important game coming up in Western Buckeye this week will be when Elida takes on the Wildcats. At the moment, the Bulldogs are in fourth, while Kenton is in first.
Wapakoneta took down Defiance 52-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
