The Legacy Christian Academy Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Alpaugh Buffalos at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.
Last Friday, Legacy Christian Academy suffered a rough 67-43 loss at the hands of Trinity Classical Academy. While losing is never fun, Legacy Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1230th, while Trinity Classical Academy is ranked 411th).
Meanwhile, Alpaugh was beaten by Caruthers 68-32 on Monday.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jesus Nunez, who scored 6 points along with 21 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jesse Alcazar, who scored 11 points.
Legacy Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Alpaugh, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
