The Divine Savior Academy Sharks will head out on the road to face off against the LaSalle Royal Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Divine Savior Academy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They skirted past the Falcons 3-2.
Meanwhile, LaSalle came tearing into Tuesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.8 goals) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against Don Soffer Aventura as LaSalle made off with a 3-0 victory. Three seems to be a good number for LaSalle as the team scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.
Divine Savior Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-3-1. As for LaSalle, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3-2 record this season.
Divine Savior Academy beat LaSalle by a goal in their previous matchup back in January, winning 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Divine Savior Academy since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
