Point Loma will be defending their home turf for the first time on Thursday when they go up against Otay Ranch at 3:30 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
It could have been worse for Point Loma, but it could have been a whole lot better too, as the team fell 38-54 to Ramona last Thursday. Point Loma were down by 18-41 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Otay Ranch beat Valley Center 12-6 last week.
Otay Ranch's win lifted them to 1-1 while Point Loma's loss dropped them down to 1-1. We'll find out if Otay Ranch can add another positive mark to their record or if Point Loma can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Otay Ranch's step.
