The Powdersville Patriots entered their tilt with the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Powdersville walked away with a 57-46 win over North Myrtle Beach on Friday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Powdersville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaleel McGee, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. McGee is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nick Sweet, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Powdersville has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for North Myrtle Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-1.
Powdersville will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Greer Middle College at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. North Myrtle Beach and Woodmont will face off at 3:30 p.m. on December 28th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
