On Tuesday, everything went The Cambridge School's's way against Julian as The Cambridge School made off with a 49-29 win. Given The Cambridge School's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while Julian is ranked 435th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Carlo Martinez and Kenny Morytko certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Martinez scored 15 points along with 3 blocks, while Morytko scored 10 points along with 9 rebounds. Morytko hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games.
The victory makes it two in a row for The Cambridge School and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Julian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Cambridge School won't have much time to rest: their next match is against San Diego Academy at 5:30 p.m. on November 29th. As for Julian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain Empire at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Mountain Empire focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
