The C.A. Johnson Hornets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They claimed a resounding 96-33 win over Riverwalk Academy on the road. With C.A. Johnson ahead 39-18 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Lamont Jackson was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Guess, who scored 13 points along with five assists and two steals.
The victory got C.A. Johnson back to even at 11-11. As for Riverwalk Academy, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. C.A. Johnson will take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Governor's School for Science & Math is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Riverwalk Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against the Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
