Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Paetow). Everything went their way against the Morton Ranch Mavericks on Friday as they made off with a 60-37 victory. With the Panthers ahead 40-15 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Paetow's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jovan Rodriguez led the charge by rushing for 128 yards and one score on only 12 carries, while also picking up 82 receiving yards. Rodriguez's longest rush was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Jordan Bedford was in the mix too, providing Paetow with two touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Paetow was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 270 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 238 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.
