The Mission Oak Hawks had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Kerman 34-14. The win was familiar territory for Mission Oak who now have five in a row.
Mission Oak's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daniel Gonzalez led the charge by throwing for 300 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Achilles Sierra, who picked up 98 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Mission Oak's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.5 points per game. As for Kerman, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6.
Mission Oak will stay at home for another week and welcome Rio Hondo Prep at 6:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Rio Hondo Prep's defense has only allowed 15.7 points per game this season, so Mission Oak's offense will have their work cut out for Mission Oak. Kerman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
