Pennington posted their biggest victory yet this season on Saturday. Everything went their way against South Hunterdon as Pennington made off with a 61-41 victory. Given Pennington's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while South Hunterdon is ranked 311th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Franklin's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Sunday after their seventh straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 77-76 to Life Center Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Saturday (63), Franklin still had to take the loss.
Pennington's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Franklin, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
