Basketball Recap: Jackson Bean Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Clinton Christian Academy

There's no place like home for Christian Learning Center, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They walked away with a 55-44 victory over the Clinton Christian Academy Patriots on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Patriots back in December of 2024, they had to take a 44-41 defeat.

Christian Learning Center's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Bean, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Easton Rhodes, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 12 points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Christian Learning Center was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clinton Christian Academy only posted three assists.

Clinton Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Raymond Hood, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. Hood has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 13 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Lowe, who posted 11 points along with eight boards and six steals.

Christian Learning Center pushed their record up to 8-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Clinton Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Learning Center will host Heartland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clinton Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against El Dorado Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
