The Benjamin Franklin Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Valley Christian, falling 92-43. Benjamin Franklin has struggled against Valley Christian recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Chargers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Talan Speir, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Landon Christensen, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
It was another big night for Luke Shaw, who scored 29 points along with seven rebounds for Valley Christian. That makes it four consecutive games in which Shaw has scored at least 25% of Valley Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Wallace, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.
Benjamin Franklin bumped their record down to 4-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Valley Christian, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Benjamin Franklin will be playing in front of their home fans against Gilbert Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Gilbert Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 519 points over their last six games. As for Valley Christian, they will face off against Winslow at TBD on Thursday. Hopefully Winslow focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday.
