The Edisto Cougars will head out on the road to challenge the Woodland Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Last Tuesday, Edisto lost to Hampton County at home by a decisive 41-27 margin.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Chyna Myers, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Woodland scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past Barnwell 63-36 on the road. The win was nothing new for Woodland as they're now sitting on four straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Woodland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kah'Liyah Geddis, who scored 21 points. Another player making a difference was Ja'Lina Goodwin, who scored 16 points.
Edisto's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10. As for Woodland, they pushed their record up to 7-13 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Edisto skirted past Woodland 36-34 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Edisto since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
