IV Section IV recap November 13, 2013
Coolidge extended the longest winning streak in IV Section IV this week by beating Fountain Hills, 37-34. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Coolidge and the Falcons played the closest game in the league this week, with Coolidge eventually emerging with a 37-34 victory.
Seton Catholic's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Kyle Johnson threw for 94 and 1 touchdown and Antonio Campanella had 58 yards receiving. On the ground Campanella chipped in 138 yards. Brandon Garcia helped Seton Catholic's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 31 yards.
Campanella was a passing and rushing force as the Sentinels defeated Combs.
Mitchell Detente was a key player and the best on defense this week as Seton Catholic defeated the Coyotes. The 5-foot-6 senior forced 1 fumble and recorded 1 fumble.
Campanella was the best receiver in the league this week as Rex Bowser's team beat Combs. Campanella racked up 1 reception for 58 yards. Garcia helped Seton Catholic's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 31 yards.
6-foot-4 quarterback Johnson of the Sentinels is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2,131. He has also thrown 33 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Matt Ramirez. The Florence star has 37 catches for 705 yards.
Charles McCarty of the Cayle Ferguson's team is just 32 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 93 carries McCarty has accumulated 968 yard this year.
Accruing a total of 15 touchdowns this year, Bobby Herrera has thrown for 1,899 yards with 15 interceptions.
Seton Catholic took down Jesse Hart's team 55-17 last week, the largest margin of any game. Campanella ran for 138 yards during the win.
