Glacier Peak extended their winning streak to ten on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 10-2 in the process. They had just enough and edged out the Archbishop Murphy Wildcats 6-4. That's more bragging rights for the Grizzlies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Emma Hirshorn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on ten hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Morgan Udy, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI and one run. Sammie Christensen was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

As for Archbishop Murphy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since April 10, 2024.

On Archbishop Murphy's side, Ari Dixon put in work while hitting and pitching. She tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits. Dixon has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Sarah Fletcher was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Glacier Peak and Archbishop Murphy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. The Grizzlies will square off against Lake Stevens at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (9 vs. 52). The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Glacier Peak 4, the Vikings 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Archbishop Murphy (ranked 71st) will meet Lynnwood (ranked 268th) at 4:00 p.m. on the 28th.
