The Dexter Tigers can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They strolled past Penquis Valley with points to spare, taking the game 43-25. That's another feather in the cap for Dexter, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Dexter was led to victory by Kellen Peavey and Ethan Doherty. Peavey scored 11 points, while Doherty scored nine points along with ten rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Kody Kimball, who scored four points.
The win got Dexter back to even at 5-5. As for Penquis Valley, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-7.
Dexter won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Schenck at 6:30 p.m. on January 18th. Schenck is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Penquis Valley, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Mattanawcook at 6:30 p.m. on January 18th.
