Softball Recap: Hillsboro Wins Going Away Against Alvarado

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Godley, Hillsboro was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Alvarado Indians 18-3. Considering the Eagles have won eight matchups by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Millie McGregor was a standout: she scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Flor Scott, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Hillsboro's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Alvarado, they dropped their record down to 5-13 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Hillsboro will head out to face off against Life Waxahachie at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alvarado, they will host Godley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
