The Spencerville Bearcats will head out on the road to face off against the Edison Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Spencerville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 523rd, while Edison is ranked 78th).
Last Friday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Spencerville had to settle for a 31-28 defeat against Jefferson. Spencerville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Edison stacked a ninth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They claimed a resounding 35-7 victory over Huron at home. Winning may never get old, but Edison sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Edison relied on the efforts of Marcus Medina, who rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and Cyrus Finnen, who rushed for 141 yards and three touchdowns. Medina was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards.
Jefferson's win bumped their season record to 1-9 while Spencerville's defeat dropped theirs to 3-7.
