The Western Hills Wolverines lost against the Bluegrass United Bluehawks back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Western Hills took a 55-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bluegrass United. Western Hills has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bluegrass United's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Piper Graham, who scored 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Graham's trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for four games straight. Grace Hanlon was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with two steals.
Western Hills has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Bluegrass United, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.
Western Hills won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Gallatin County at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kentucky (Gallatin County is ranked 163rd, while Western Hills is ranked 187th). As for Bluegrass United, they will head out on the road to take on Pendleton County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
