Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Presbyterian Christian sitting on four straight wins and Jackson Academy on 12.
Presbyterian Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Enterprise 13-6 on Friday.
Seth Hataway made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Presbyterian Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-7 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Presbyterian Christian let Bankston Walters and Tyner Flynt run wild. Walters got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and two runs, while Flynt went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave Walters a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Reed Bridges, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Presbyterian Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .535. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Manchester Academy typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Jackson Academy proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Mavericks with a sharp 15-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Foster Meacham and Deuce Jenkins made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Meacham tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Jenkins pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meacham has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Meacham scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Jenkins got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.
In other batting news, Crew Hassell was a standout: he scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Dockins, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4.
Jackson Academy pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Presbyterian Christian, their record is now 9-7.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Presbyterian Christian hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Jackson Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.6 home runs.
