Humboldt won the last time they faced Erie and things went their way on Monday too. The Cubs walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Red Devils. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cubs.

While Humboldt won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-10.

Laney Hull paced Humboldt's offense, picking up 11 kills. Hull got some help from Bailey Daniels and her 14 assists. Adalyn Hillmon and Skylar Hottenstein kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Humboldt's win bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Erie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9.

Looking ahead, Humboldt will face off against St. Paul at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Erie has already played their next matchup (against Uniontown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
