Hopefully St. Joseph Hill Academy is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Maria Regina in New York (St. Joseph Hill Academy is ranked 21st, while Maria Regina is ranked 218th).
St. Joseph Hill Academy stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat St. Edmund Prep 70-28 on the road. The win was just what St. Joseph Hill Academy needed coming off of a 61-30 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Maria Regina's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Sunday after their third straight loss. They took a 56-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Moore Catholic.
St. Joseph Hill Academy pushed their record up to 17-4 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Maria Regina, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
St. Joseph Hill Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Maria Regina in their previous meeting back in January, winning 56-49. Will St. Joseph Hill Academy repeat their success, or does Maria Regina have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
