First Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amari Smith, who scored 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Norflee, who scored 20 points.
Riverside Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for First Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.
Riverside Christian will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Northside Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. First Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against The Classical Academy of Sarasota at 3:00 p.m. on January 20th. The Classical Academy of Sarasota is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
