Groves's game  on Tuesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Beach Bulldogs by a score of  18-6. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Rebels' considerable advantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia flag football rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 198th).
 Tamiya Washington was the offensive standout of the  contest as she threw for 144 yards and one  touchdown while completing 76.2% of her passes, and also rushed for 33 yards.  Kayla Small made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
 Groves didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Washington and  Small. Small got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
Groves' record is now 15-2. As for Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Groves will take on Windsor Forest at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Beach, they will challenge Woodville-Tompkins at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Wolverines' defense has only allowed 5.4  points per game  this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
