The Prescott Badgers waltzed into their game on Wednesday with 11 straight wins but they left with 12. They claimed a resounding 75-28 win over Mingus at home. With Prescott ahead 39-18 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Leading Prescott to victory were Zane Gaul and Uriah Tenette. Gaul dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Tenette scored 28 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Tenette has scored at least a third of Prescott's points. Cooper Magnett was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Prescott is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season. As for Mingus, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-17.
Prescott will head out on the road to challenge the Dons at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Coronado will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Badgers are ranked 30th). Mingus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
