3A Region II District 14 recap Sept. 26, 2012
Ford moved up to 271 from 532 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 3A Region II District 14. The Panthers were able to make the jump by beating Ferris 38-13.
Ford was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in the league. Earlier in the week, Todd Wallace's team defeated the Yellowjackets 38-13.
The Panthers' dynamic duo of Kaden Wallace and Taylor Sikorsky proved tough for Ferris to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wallace threw for 46 yards and one touchdown and Sikorsky had 46 yards receiving.
Markell Spigner was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 145 yards as Rains beat Aaron Emeyabbi's team. Teammate Canyon Gibby added to the ground attack by rushing for 42 yards.
Crandall's Hunter Darst and Jason Bryant have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 3A Region II District 14 in both passing and receiving yards. Darst has thrown for 211 yards this season, while Bryant has six catches for 142 yards. The Panthers' Sikorsky leads the league in rushing yards with 640.
Wills Point led the league in scoring this week after putting up 43 points on Brownsboro.
