Ferris had trouble last Friday, and unfortunately for them, their opponent this week is a big step up in difficulty. They will challenge Gonzaga Prep on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Ferris are the clear underdogs, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one.
If Ferris were riding high off their 35-0 takedown of Rogers two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Ferris ended up on the wrong side of a painful 21-42 walloping at Central Valley's hands. The matchup was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but Ferris were outplayed the rest of the way.
Meanwhile, everything went Gonzaga Prep's way against Mead as they made off with a 50-18 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-10.
Ferris took a serious blow against Gonzaga Prep the last time the two teams met, falling 7-48. Can Ferris avenge their loss, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
