Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jefferson Area). They claimed a resounding 82-53 win over the Madison Blue Streaks. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Madison's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mac Steele, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Tomco, who went 6 of 12 en route to 13 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Jefferson Area and bumps their season record up to 7-2. As for Madison, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson Area will square off against Conneaut at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. Jefferson Area is facing Conneaut at the right time seeing as Conneaut is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Madison, they will face off against Geneva at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
