Marathon now  has a losing record of 7-8. As for Newman Catholic, their win was  their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 11-11.
 Coming up, Marathon will take on Loyal at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Newman Catholic, they will face off against Columbus Catholic at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
