The South Central Timberwolves extended their postseason success on Friday against the Victoria Knights. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 42-20 win. The win was familiar territory for South Central who now have seven in a row.
JT Prusa was his usual excellent self, rushing for 128 yards and four touchdowns, while also throwing for 112 yards and two touchdowns. Prusa was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards.
South Central's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 43.33 points. As for Victoria, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-2.
South Central will square off against Axtell at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Axtell knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 games -- so hopefully South Central likes a good challenge. Victoria does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
