On Thursday, Whitmore Lake suffered a rough 68-44 loss at the hands of Bronson. While losing is never fun, Whitmore Lake can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 519th, while Bronson is ranked 254th).
Kamron Brackett was his usual excellent self, shooting 5-for-10 from downtown and dropping a double-double on 37 points and 14 rebounds for Bronson. Brackett is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Drew Norton was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Whitmore Lake's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Bronson, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
After both having extra time off, Whitmore Lake and Livingston Christian will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Livingston Christian will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line. Bronson will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Quincy at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
