The St. Martinville Tigers waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 56-49 victory over Crowley. For St. Martinville, this counts as revenge for the 44-43 loss Crowley walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Delian Mallery continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Raytyrion Narcisse, who scored eight points.
St. Martinville has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-17 record this season. As for Crowley, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Martinville will take on Sulphur at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Martinville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Sulphur likes a good challenge. As for Crowley, they will head out on the road to challenge Midland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
