Devon Prep is 1-8 against Neumann-Goretti since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Tide will venture away from home to take on the Saints at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Devon Prep 4, Neumann-Goretti 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Devon Prep had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Father Judge on Wednesday. The Tide never let the Crusaders get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. That looming 9-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tide yet this season.

Devon Prep got a great performance from Liam Jung as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Jung also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Tide are 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-6 otherwise.
At the plate, Austin Conaty was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Alex Hannah, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Neumann-Goretti had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They put the hurt on the Fords with a sharp 13-2 win. Considering the Saints have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Dom Gallo tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Richie Cray was a standout: he got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Vanore, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Devon Prep's record now sits at 4-7. As for Neumann-Goretti, their record is now 9-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Devon Prep has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Neumann-Goretti struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Devon Prep beat Neumann-Goretti 4-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Will the Tide repeat their success, or do the Saints have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
