The Whitehall Zephyrs''s three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Liberty out 23-20. That's another feather in the cap for Whitehall, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Liberty still got an impressive performance from Caden Vermuelen, who rushed for 96 yards on only 11 carries, and also threw for 130 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Green, who rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown.
Whitehall now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Liberty, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitehall is on the road again on October 27th and play against Northampton at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Northampton is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games. As for Liberty, they will head out on the road to face off against Freedom at 1:00 p.m. on October 28th. Freedom will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
