The Desert Christian Eagles can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. They breezed by St. David at home to the tune of 80-34. The win was nothing new for Desert Christian as they're now sitting on six straight.
Desert Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jonathan Brown led the charge by scoring 21 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Adam Valvala, who scored ten points along with eight assists and six steals.
Desert Christian is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for St. David, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Desert Christian will take on San Manuel at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. San Manuel will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 339th, while Desert Christian is ranked 114th). St. David won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Baboquivari at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. Baboquivari has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 206 points over their last three games.
