The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Franklin Academy in their matchups with the Unicorns: they've now lost five in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Franklin Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sarah Godwin. Despite the final result, she scored 18 points along with seven rebounds. Godwin hasn't dropped below 16 points for nine straight games.
Leading NCSSM: Durham to victory were Parker Wildman and Maren Donlon. Wildman scored 13 points along with two steals, while Donlon scored 18 points along with seven rebounds. Donlon has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times she's played.
Franklin Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for NCSSM: Durham, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-7.
