The Northview Vikings's game on Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They secured a 44-38 W over Varsity Opponent.
Among those leading the charge was Adrian Almaraz, who scored 17 points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Sam Osi, who scored ten points.
Northview pushed their record up to 11-3 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points per game. As for Varsity Opponent, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 173-634-5.
Northview and Orange Vista will round out the year against one another at 8:00 p.m. on December 26th at. Varsity Opponent will take on Delta Streets Academy in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. on Monday at. Delta Streets Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Varsity Opponent likes a good challenge.
