The Cobden Appleknockers will square off against the Pinckneyville Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pinckneyville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Hamilton County a 10-0 shutout on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Michael Brand was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Abel Clark, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.
