Mt. Carmel came into Wednesday's game looking for another win against Mira Mesa, but Ejaykeoni Lumanlan wouldn't allow it. Mira Mesa came out on top against Mt. Carmel by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday with plenty of help from Lumanlan, who had 11 digs and five assists. He has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times he's played.

Mira Mesa had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Mt. Carmel still got an impressive performance from Lewis Martinez, who had 20 assists and four digs.

Mira Mesa's record now sits at 7-8. As for Mt. Carmel, they dropped their record down to 7-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Mira Mesa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Patrick Henry on the 21st. As for Mt. Carmel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Sanger on the 21st.
