Archbishop Hannan added to the longest winning streak in 2A District 8 this week by beating Episcopal, 12-7. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Hawks.
Archbishop Hannan moved up to 79 from 108 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Pat lambert's team climbed the ranks as a result of beating the Knights 12-7.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Hawks' Korey Zeigler and Daniel Hollander have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-11 quarterback Zeigler has thrown for 1,780 yards this season, while Hollander has 48 catches for 757 yards. Pine's Derrick Dillon leads the league in rushing yards with 1,927.
Archbishop Hannan and Episcopal played the closest game in 2A District 8 this week, with Archbishop Hannan eventually emerging with a 12-7 victory. Zeigler threw for 130 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 51 yards during the win.
