Hillcrest took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Easley, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rams came out on top in a nail-biter against the Green Wave on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2. The victory was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on 11 straight.
Hillcrest was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 21-25, 24-26, 25-18, 15-11.
Miko Sawyer paced Hillcrest's offense, picking up 21 kills. Sawyer got some help from Liz Jones and her 50 assists. Addison Nelson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Hillcrest's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Easley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-9.
