Riverwalk Academy suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were beaten by C.A. Johnson 88-34. Riverwalk Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-21.
Meanwhile, Brashier Middle College Charter came up short against Southside Christian on Friday and fell 56-44. Brashier Middle College Charter has struggled against Southside Christian recently, as their match on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Riverwalk Academy's loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.7 points per game. As for Brashier Middle College Charter, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.
Riverwalk Academy took a serious blow against Brashier Middle College Charter when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 82-34. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Riverwalk Academy was down 38-17.
