The Alamogordo Tigers won the last time they faced the Gadsden Panthers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Alamogordo blew past Gadsden 51-20 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Alamogordo.
Alamogordo's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elizabeth Needham, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Teeya Gordon, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Alamogordo now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Gadsden, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alamogordo will challenge Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Centennial focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Tuesday. As for Gadsden, they will head out on the road to take on Organ Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gadsden is coming into the contest with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Organ Mountain will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
