Flinthills and Udall are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Flinthills Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Udall Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Flinthills is ranked 316th, while Udall is ranked 336th).
Even though Bluestem scored an imposing 55 points on Monday, Flinthills still came out on top. Flinthills walked away with a 63-55 victory over Bluestem. The win made it back-to-back wins for Flinthills.
Meanwhile, Udall was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 58-52 to Argonia. Udall has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losing side was boosted by Jenson Harness, who scored 26 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 50% of Udall's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Hornecker, who scored 15 points.
Flinthills' victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Udall, their loss was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-9.
Flinthills didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Udall in their previous meeting on Friday, but they still walked away with a 44-39 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Flinthills since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
